Taylor swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania before her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She is one of the most accomplished musicians in the world. She started pursuing her career at a very young age. She developed an interest in musical theatre at the age of 9. She concentrated on vocals and acting classes but after not succeeding at multiple auditions she shifted her focus to country music.
At the age of twelve, she was shown how to play the guitar by a computer repairman. The lesson entailed how to play three chords on a guitar. This inspired her to write her first song which she named “Lucky You”.
She later got an artist development deal with RCA Records. It encouraged her to move to Nashville at the age of 14. She left the record after one year because they wanted her to release her debut album after she had reached the age of 18.
She was later given the chance to unlock her potential by Scott Borchetta, who at that time was a Records executive at DreamWorks but had plans to start his own label which came to be known as Big Machine Records. Her debut album “Taylor Swift” was well received by listeners and critics alike. Her single “Our Song” peaked at number one. It sold 39,000 copies in a week.
Her second album “Fearless” was also well received. The lead single “Love story” was very successful and made it to number four on the popular US Billboard Hot 100 chart. “You Belong With Me” was more successful and made it to the number two spot. Her third studio album, “Speak Now” was released in 2010. She personally wrote all her songs and the content was more mature. She has recently released her new album “Red” which she is promoting. She has also written most of the songs on it.
Her talent and skills have earned her a reputation that has paid off based on the many accolades that she has acquired, and her massive fan base. In 2010, she became the youngest artists ever to win the prestigious Grammy Award for Album of the Year. She is a multi-Grammy award-winning celebrity who has broken several records and set the bar high for others musicians.
