Josh Groban is a popular singer-songwriter who long been established as one of the finest male voices on the plant. Having been trained to sing from a young age, Groban’s styles vary from pop to operatic performances, proving to be massively popular, with worldwide album sales exceeding 25 million.

Boring in Los Angeles in 1984, Josh Groban was raised in a strong musical family, with his grandmother and father being skilled pianists. From a young age he was encouraged to appreciate all forms of music, from operas to pop songs, which helped to shape his musical range. He began training to sing at a very young age, and would eventually meet producer David foster through his vocal coach.

Working alongside foster in 1998, Groban would find work as a rehearsal singer, yet found himself performing at some rather large scale events. These experiences for a young Groban would eventually help land him a record deal with Warner Bros. He had not long enrolled in University yet took the leap of faith to pursue his singing career at the expense of his college education.

Groban’s self-titled debut record was released in 2001, which was met with resounding success. Going double platinum, it sold around 4 million copies, and helped announced his talents to worldwide audience. The album was more concentrated on classic songs, yet showcased his amazing vocal ability.

Performances at charitable events and his own PBS special followed, and Groban was now regarded as one of the most talented male vocalists around. Not content with performing in the like of the Vatican, his stock would continue to rise, he would sing with Charlotte Church at the closing ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City.

In 2003 he would releases his follow up album Closer. It was another well received album, reaching number one in the album charts. His first world tour would follow, and tickets sold out quickly. His next album Awake came out three years later, and in the same year he would release the Christmas album Noel. Both sold millions of copies, solidifying Groban’s status as one of the premier singers performing.

Illuminations (2010) saw him work with legendary producer Rick Rubin, as sold more than a million copies. His 6th and most recent studio album All That Echoes (2013) was another number one album. He has a 7th album on the cards for 2015, with a world tour planned to help promote his latest release.

Josh Groban is man of many talents. From singing different styles to his acting career, it’s one of the reasons he has fan enamoured across the globe. At the relatively young age of 34, Groban has many good decades left in him, so we can expect plenty more bestselling albums and sell-out tours in the future from the talented singer.
